Hartford Convicted Felon, Brandon Spence Gets 2 Years In Prison

On Tuesday U.S. District Judge Alvin W. Thompson sentenced Brandon Spence, 31-years-old, of Hartford CT. to 2 years of imprisonment, followed by 3 years of supervised release.

In June of 2018, officers with the Hartford Police were informed that Spence was in possession of a firearm.

Officers attempted to make contact with Spence however he ran from the officers and while doing so he discarded a firearm, loaded with seven rounds of ammunition.

The firearm was recovered, and after a search of the area Spence was taken into custody.

In October of 2018, Spence pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.

This case was investigated by the Hartford Police Department with the FBI’s Northern Connecticut Violent Crimes Task Force.
