In a continuing effort to crackdown on gangs in the Boston area, U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani sentenced Heath Street Gang member Kendrick Tate, a/k/a “K-Roc,” 26, of Chelsea to 159 months in prison and three years of supervised release.

Tate, in August of 2018 pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court to one count of distribution of cocaine base and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Tate currently is serving a 3 ½ – 4-year state sentence for unrelated drug and firearm charges.

Tate was also previously convicted of assault with a dangerous weapon on two occasions, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, and possession to distribute a Class B substance on two occasions.
